From the South West and Limerick City it can be reached by following the Dublin road (N7) before branching off to the left on the R525 at Daly's Cross, in the direction of O'Brien's Bridge (See the District Map below). Cross the Old Stone Bridge and turn right immediately, Shannon Cottage is straight ahead.

From Dublin, the East and North East, take the N7 as far as Birdhill, then take a right turn after the pubs, on to the R466 and continue to O'Brien's Bridge (See the District Map Below). Cross the Old Stone Bridge and turn right immediately, Shannon Cottage is straight ahead.

From Shannon Airport take the N19/N18 Direction Limerick
At edge of Limerick follow signs N7/R463 Direction Dublin/Killaloe.
Follow R463 for 10 miles (16 kms), watch for signs for O'Brien's Bridge (See the District Map below). Turn right, cross Canal Bridge, drive through the village to the Old Stone Bridge, pass the end of the bridge but do not cross it, Shannon Cottage is straight ahead.
